The What of Pooh?

"While Eeyore frets, and Piglet hesitates, and
Rabbit calculates, and Owl pontificates...Pooh just is."

In my Humanities class, our teacher asked us to recommend some sort of a humanity for everyone else in the class to read, see, etc. I recommended my favorite book The Kingdom Keepers by Ridley Pearson (I would highly recommend it). A girl in my class recommended a book that especially caught my eye, called The Tao of Pooh. So I went to my library and read it. It was a quick-read and I simply adored it. For those of you Pooh lovers, and don't deny it because I know you all are, Benjamin Hoff makes the book a story of Pooh and his furry friends showing the world the secret to the wisdom of the Taoists by showing that Pooh just is.

I really enjoyed the book because number 1, it was a quick-read. And number 2, it depicted such a good knowledge of the world through a beloved children's show and collection of books. This philosophical book explains how you have to go through life and let things happen, and "to be", and find happiness. The author explains through different stories of Winnie the Pooh, how to just "be". It actually made me stop and think about my life and the way I live it. So go out to your local library and pick it up! It'll give you great words of wisdom that can really change the way that you look at things.
